Dear NRMA. Your article”Cheap Tuesday \dead & burried” touched my outrage nerve. The petrol suppliers are having a field day. Of course they must be colluding on a regional basis. I frequently do my purchases when in Sydney, thereby saving 10cents or more on the Woolworths price. What gets up my nose is the insidious signage used by the Big suppliers, that prominently advertises the discounted price, and base price under in smaller “print “. The discount is earned by spending in the parent company, often doubled by spending on junk foods and sweets in the outlet. It plays on the demeaning, feel-good, greed cells in our brain. This is a type of third-line forcing that is outlawed in the finance industry and should be banned at the pumps in Australia. I hope to see something from My NRMA.
